Tab Trade — The Short Version
TabTrade.com opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is broad.
Platforms
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That should round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
The speed is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you commit.
